Job Summary The Assistant Engineer performs in a professional manner all aspects of vessel maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer. Qualifications
Credential Requirements
- Possess at minimum a valid endorsement as licensed Assistant Engineer
- 3rd Assistant Engineer’s license, DDE, or equivalent
- Valid TWIC, Passport, MMC
Experience
- Knowledge of all vessel systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, diesel, propulsion, and auxiliaries
- Marine experience, military experience, or equivalent experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a multi-functional, organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with managing and prioritizing multiple assignments and tasks
- Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
