Description

R.H. Marcon, Inc. is the premier commercial roofing and sheet metal contractor in Central Pennsylvania.  Established in 1981, and now with 80 employees, Marcon is the preferred choice for business owners who are roofing a brand-new building or simply in need of a new roof on an existing building. 

We are seeking a mid-level HR professional who will be accountable for the direction and oversight of all strategic and operational HR functions. This position will report to the President and be a strategic thought-partner around leadership, organizational design, long-term talent planning, and talent management. This person will provide leadership on recruiting, retention, training & development, identifying and developing key talent, leading change management, and reinforcing the company’s culture and values. This person will also ensure the company meets all regulatory and HR compliance requirements.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

HR Strategy: 
Create a human resources strategy and multi-year road map directly aligned with the overall strategy of the company. The road map will identify the required investments in people and technology along with the projected return-on-investment.

HR Services & Support: Utilize HR generalist skills to provide employee relations support, oversee and lead the open enrollment process. Ensure the ongoing review of wage and salary structure, create on-boarding capabilities to strengthen the cultural integration of new employees. Develop processes and systems for assessing performance, potential and critical roles in the company. Recommend and implement employee relations programs to foster a positive employee/employer relationship and promote a high level of employee morale, productivity, engagement and retention. Across the enterprise, coach and counsel people-managers and provide tools and guidance that enable effective leadership. Lead the company’s employee communications, designed to ensure connectivity among our many teams of field employees and our corporate office.

Who You Are and What You Have

  • At least seven years of human resources experience, with experience in strategic HR initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or other, related graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in organizational communication, employee relations, employee retention, HRIS, talent acquisition & development, HR metrics, and developing corporate culture.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to align teams and individuals. Ability as a player/coach to personally execute the plan while empowering and serving as a resource to leaders throughout the organization.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across all functions.
  • Creative, innovative, and forward-thinking while focused on delivering results consistent with company culture and values.
  • A passion for working with people and an ability to bring out the best in those around you.

What Puts You Over the Top

  • Proven ability to set the HR vision for an organization and to develop an actionable plan.
  • Experience in a construction environment.
  • Prior experience as an HR leader.
