FLSA Status: Exempt

The person in this position is responsible for all the financial record keeping. The bookkeeping system must meet the requirements of various funding sources, reflect standards as adopted by the Board of Directors, undergo annual monitoring audits by the Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and other funders, and be subject to review and audit by an independent certified accountant.  The person in this position, in consultation with the Executive Director, maintains the financial integrity of the agency, and is under supervision of the Executive Director.


  1. Maintain a complete, accurate, transparent, and timely record of all receipts and expenditures of the agency.
  2. Maintain appropriate documentation and related information for each funding source to assure that all monies are spent in accordance with required guidelines and time frames
  3. Prepare payment for all vendors in timely manner
  4. Inform vendors of agency non-discrimination policy
  5. Submit billing and documentation on a monthly basis
  6. Provide financial status report and year to date budget report on a monthly basis for the Executive Director.
  7. Monitor for accuracy records on all volunteer hours in accordance with funding sources.
  8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports for submission to all funding sources
  9. Maintain various files related to budgeting and funding
  10. Process all requests for specific assistance to individuals upon approval by the Executive Director
  11. Make bank deposits after funds are logged in the Executive Director and Assistant Director of Finance
  12. Maintain contact with all vendors.
  13. Assist the ED in preparing requests for funding, grant applications, and other projects related to revenues and expenditures
  14. Prepare financial records for annual audit and all grant related compliance for site visits
  15. Assume administrative oversight for the agency in the absence of the Executive Director
  16. Perform all duties as assigned by the Executive Director



  • At least 18 years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, office administration, or related field and 5 years experience in accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of computer technology, and ability to utilize accounting related computer software
  • Attend recommended trainings and continuing education
  • Commitment to KCADV Member Program Service Standards
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Submit to criminal background check(s)
